Synopsis
Travel booking platforms often become cluttered with too many options, offers, filters, and pricing details. The challenge was to simplify the booking journey so users could search faster, compare options clearly, and move toward booking with more confidence.
Design Process
Discover
Studied common travel booking flows, user expectations, and friction points across search and checkout.
Define
Identified the key areas to improve: search clarity, result comparison, fare visibility, and booking confidence.
Ideate
Explored cleaner layouts for search, filters, result cards, booking steps, and travel service pages.
Design
Created a structured interface with clear hierarchy, reusable components, and responsive layouts.
Review
Checked the flow for clarity, edge cases, mobile usability, and decision-making friction.
Ship
Prepared final screens, UI sections, and design-ready assets for development.
Research Insights
Users want travel search to feel quick, familiar, and predictable.
Too many offers and banners can distract from the main booking task.
Price, timing, stops, and policies must be easy to compare at a glance.
Mobile users need extra clarity because booking decisions happen on smaller screens.
Opportunity Map
Search
Make the search experience clear, fast, and easy to modify.
Compare
Help users compare travel options without scanning too much information.
Book
Create a step-by-step booking flow with transparent fare details.
Confirm
Make confirmation, support, and next steps easy to understand.

How Might We
How might we make travel search feel simple without removing important details?
How might we help users compare flights faster?
How might we make fare details easier to trust?
Problem Statement
Travellers abandon booking flows when the experience feels cluttered, unclear, or unpredictable. The product needed a cleaner structure that helps users search, compare, and book with confidence.
Hypothesis
If the search, result cards, and booking steps are made clearer and more structured, users will feel more confident while making travel decisions.
